Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team CJ and Sharon (and their dog Teddy). As lifelong readers who always dreamed of opening our own bookstore, we created Teddy's as a cozy space where you can discover your next favorite book. We offer a load of different genres and charming gifts to choose from. Join us for our regular events, including storytimes and game nights. Check our events page for upcoming activities!
My grandmother is responsible for my love of books and I have had a book in my hand for as long as I can remember. Bookstores have always been my happy place and I own more books than I can possibly fit on my shelves. I became an English teacher to share my love of books but owning my own bookstore has always been my dream. I read a variety of books but my favorite genres are fantasy, romance, and mystery. I do also love a good historical fiction novel (I love anything Victorian or Tudor related). When not reading, I can be found ordering more books, cooking, or fantasizing about running away to Vermont for a weekend or two.
CJ has spent decades in the literary world as a content creator, writing group director, and owner of several businesses before joining his wife in this new endeavor with our dogs.
He is focused on children's books, middle grade, YA, and sci-fi genres. CJ also appreciates a good cozy low-stakes game.
Teddy is our resident shop dog, employee of the decade, and all around Good Boy. He is our shop greeter on most days. All dogs are welcome to visit our store. There'll be a sign to denote if Teddy is in on any given day..
At Teddy's, we pride ourselves on creating a vibrant community spot through our diverse events. These can include anything from Children's Story Times to evening D&D nights. We want our bookstore to be so much more than just a place to buy books; we want it to be a safe space where everyone is welcome. We believe in connections, building friendships, and creating the supportive community every book lover deserves. Whatever your interests, you'll find your people here.
